Under the general supervision of the Manager, Procurement and Business Services, the Coordinator is responsible for the efficient daily operation of Food Services. The position supervises regular and non-regular employees and prioritizes duties on a daily basis by overseeing Food Service operations. The position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of Food Services staff; acts as initial point of contact for organizing the functions of Okanagan College Food Services; and ensures that Food Services is maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. The position provides cashier duties; limited meal preparation; and general support for Food Service duties as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 or equivalent plus up to and including one year post-secondary training (Office Administration). 
  • Food Safe Certificate and the “Supervisor” Serving It Right Certificate. 
  • Over 2 year and up to and including 4 years, proven successful, related food and beverage experience, including experience supervising, scheduling and coordinating staff activities in a food services environment.
