The Food Services Support Specialist will be responsible to support multiple patient and residential sites.  This position is ideal for an established individual in either Food or Senior Services who is looking to expand their skill set.


Position: Food Service Support Specialist - Quality Assurance, Information Systems, Menu Management  

Hours: Full Time (80 hrs bi-weekly)

Location: Victoria, BC and surrounding area.



Overview: We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual who is as passionate about providing great food services as we are. 



This position may be required to supervise employees and manage the day to day operations to ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Areas of responsibility include administration, satisfaction, information’s systems client/customer relations, production and knowledge of healthcare systems that encompasses all aspects of the Food services. 



Duties will include:



  • Food service Quality Assurance
  • Auditing (Quality Assurance, Health and Safety)
  • Diet Technician Support (Patient Dining/ Residential Dining)
  • Resident and Patient Satisfaction Surveys
  • Support with unit rounding
  • Assist in menu planning & development
  • Cbord data base support
  • Clerical duties as needed

 Required Qualifications

·         Eligible to obtain membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)

·         Minimum 2 years Food services experience (Acute/Residential healthcare setting is an asset)

·         Diet technician experience

  • Solid proficiency in Cbord, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Advanced Food Safe
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.

·         Excellent supervisory, leadership and coaching skills

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

  • Proven customer/ client relationship skills
  • A very detail oriented individual and a strong team player
  • Flexibility and reliable transportation
