How You’ll Make an Impact:

Work Performed

  10. Participates in related day to day office administrative duties, such as, answering telephones, record keeping, filing, data entry, performing basic calculations, typing correspondence, inventory, and month end procedures. Completes and submits timesheets ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
  11. Ensures that systems and procedures for daily sales, cash collections/controls, banking and ledger reconciliation are being followed; processes payments and deposits. 
  12. Recommends daily specials and ongoing menu changes.  
  13. Suggests and implements unit promotions including processing and delivering of You-Care packages. 
  14. Ensures all kitchen equipment and point of sale systems are in working order; reports and follows up on maintenance as required.

Works independently under general supervision.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Assist Head Cook in ordering food and kitchen supplies.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, development and evaluation of Food Services Personnel.
  • Ensure staff safety in compliance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Monitor and analyze incident reports
  • Adapt work practices within specific parameters to ensure the efficient delivery of food   services.
  • Compile receipts and invoices for kitchen supplies and forward to Camp Manager.
  • Monitor duties of kitchen support staff in accordance with Public Health Standards.
  • Supervise and organize the work schedule of kitchen support staff in the kitchen.
  • Participate in camp cleanup at the end of each camp.
  • Be flexible and have a good disposition.
  • Work within the total camp program and cooperate with other staff members.
  • Perform any task beyond those assigned as required.
  • Be available to attend all staff devotions and meetings.
  • Maintain a responsible level of maturity and leadership.
  • Be familiar with Summer Staff Handbook, and all procedures and resources.
  • Attend weekly debriefing sessions at the end of each camp

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
  • The successful job applicant will have completed high school. NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
Experience: 
  • At least 1 year of experience working in the food service industry
Special Licenses, Diplomas, Certifications Or Requirements: 
The successful applicant will hold/have: 
  • Current Clear Police Check
  • WHIMIS
  • Safe Food Certification
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
  • Background check consent
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening
  • A clean drivers abstract
