Food Service Manager - Suncreek Village, Surrey


The management position is responsible for operation of dietary services in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Oversees the food services operation through staff supervision and administrative duties. Monitors supply inventories, supply ordering and receipt of goods. Assures dietary services supports creating and maintaining a home-like environment and relationships for the residents. Supervises a team integrated with Support Services and conducts safety audits of food and environment.

Job Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a recognized Food Service Supervision program or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Food safe Level Two certification
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • Experience in a Long Term Care facility is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective and harmonious relationships.
  • Physical ability to carry out duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment and technology including computer skills.
