Part time Diet technician / Food Service Supervisor at Lions Gate Hospital







Position Title: Diet Technician/Supervisor

Account: Long Term and Acute Care
Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia
Schedule: Part time 6:30am-10:30am Monday to Friday
Mandate:
The Diet Technician is responsible for implementing therapeutic diets, checking nourishment, generating production tallies and reports, visiting patients for meal preferences and some quality assurance activities. The position will report to the General Manager of Food Services. Must be able to work independently and have strong multi-tasking abilities.
While this position is part time there is potential for it to become a full time position.
Selection Criteria:
  • Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management or Degree in Dietetics.
  • Membership in CSNM.
  • English proficiency, verbal and written.
  • HACCP, WHMIS training.
  • Current vaccinations
  • Current food safe level 1 and level 2

  • Effective Communicator
  • Ability to Select and Develop people
  • Appreciate and Manage Diversity
  • Working knowledge of Computrition

  • Confidence in working with the elderly, and a commitment to meeting their needs
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $22.00 to $23.00 /hour
