Scope of the job: the Starbucks Supervisor works closely with the Assistant Manager, Casual Dining, to ensure the store is operating smoothly and effectively. The Supervisor will oversee the daily store operations, supervise Baristas and train new and current staff.

WORK PERFORMED

  • Supervises and maintains daily operations of the licensed Starbucks store
  • Anticipates, identifies and responds to guest needs and wants, providing excellent service to internal and external guests
  • Prepares staff schedules
  • Trains and coaching new staff and employees according to corporate standards
  • Provide excellent service to customers
  • Maintains labor, food and expense cost control following the outlet budget 
  • Assigns work to staff on shift
  • Cleans and supervises staff in cleaning and operational tasks in accordance with the Duty Roster
  • Follows and trains team members standards for merchandising, stocking, rotation and storing of product
  • Counts inventory and maintains inventory par levels; Ordering products when required
  • Upsells products to increase sales 
  • Checks cash handling and cash register functions are accurate
  • Acts as a role model and provides training to employees and assists the Casual Dining Manager as requested
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Successful completion of secondary school, post-secondary education preferred
  • B.C. Food Safe certificate required
  • Experience supervising staff in a coffee related business preferred
  • Previous Starbucks training or experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Successful candidate must complete a criminal record check after being offered the position and before the start date (if 19 years of age or over). Grouse Mountain will assist you with the process
