WORK PERFORMED

  • As an integral member of the Support Services Team the SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR plays a key leadership role by 
  • Coaching, mentoring, training, providing direction to ensure quality of the food service, laundry, housekeeping, and janitorial services. 
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with relevant standards, such as Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safe, and Infection Control and Prevention. 
  • Supervise designated staff and train new team members. 
  • Co-ordinate work assignments, determine related training and orientation requirements, and provide feedback to employees. 
  • Maintain an efficient and effective operation of the service and quality standards through the performance of audits and feedback to staff, Supporting and ensuring a collaborative working environment. 
  • Effect change and improve the quality of service to fulfill the organizational mission. 
  • Manage effective use of resources by estimating food requirements, handling food orders, receiving support service supplies, and resolving discrepancies with suppliers. Perform financial responsibilities. 
  • Monitor and keep equipment in good repair. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience:

  • Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision
  • 2 or more years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Food Safe Certificate, level II preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak Chinese an asset
