has an exciting new opportunity to join the Sodexo team as our next Assistant
Manager. This role is a contract position of approximately 12 - 18 months.
This role is a Maternity Leave placement that requires you to work a
shift of Thursday - Sunday 10 am - 6 pm.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- · Supporting Patient Food Service and Housekeeping for our Long Term care site
- · Support our team on the afternoon shift of 10 am - 6 pm Thursday - Sunday
- · Manage a busy team of Diet Aides and Housekeepers
- · Lead and drive a strong safety culture
- · Lead your team with passion and strong customer service focus
- · Strong employee relations within a unionized environment
- · Good business acumen working with inventory, food and labour costs
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience working with acute and long term care facilities is an asset or support services within a Healthcare setting
- 2-4 years working with operations at the managerial/supervisory level
- Effective oral and written communication skills are needed
- Management experience in a unionized environment is a strong asset
- Strong ability to manage and promote a safe work environment and lead a safety culture
- Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to select and develop people
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
