How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Oversee the Food Services operation and staff to ensure world-class customer service is provided to all patients and residents
- Monitor weekly work schedules, ensuring that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators
- Lead staff in a productive and efficient manner to ensuring standards are maintained in service delivery and event setup.
- Meet exceptional service levels for all patients and residents by focusing on employee training, performance management, and leadership
- Visit patients for any diet concerns, supplement acceptance, and follow up RD's referral on patients to be visited for various clinical issues. Document in EPIC.
- Check and verify all diet discrepancies and allergies in the diet office operating systems.
- Ensure that employees follow all company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to food safety, fire and hazard safety, and security
- Carefully prepare and review all set up for daily functions
- Maintain proper par stocks for supplies
- Assist in the inventory management
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in supervising a diverse team in a union healthcare environment
- Successful completion of the Food and Nutrition Management Diploma from a recognized college
- Active membership certification from the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
- Active certification of the Advanced Food Safety Training
- Excellent knowledge of Computrition or CBORD and Point Click Care experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of WHMIS
- Solid knowledge of Clinical Nutrition in a healthcare setting
- Proven ability to react using good judgment and problem-solving skills; anticipate project needs, discern priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Computer literacy
