JOB SUMMARY
Position: Support Service Supervisor
Company: Villa Cathay Care Home
Job Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Full/Part Time: Regular
Salary: Union equivalent or better, DOE

Work Performed:
- Graduated from a recognized Food and nutrition program
- 2-3 years recent experience in foodservice premise and supervisory capacity. Health care setting preferred.
- Membership in the Society of Nutrition management preferred
- Current certificate of Food safe I required; Food safe level II an asset
- Experienced with Chinese cuisine and food production preferred.
- The ability to read and write Chinese is a bona fide occupational requirement
- Strong knowledge in food and nutrition management and food safety
- Good knowledge of WorkSafe in the context of food production and environmental services.
- Proven ability to inspire and motivate
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a team and to build teamwork
- Ability to supervise, coach, and lead
- Strong interest and ability to learn, adopt and adapt
- Ability to organize and prioritize work according to the organizational goals and objectives
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Physical and psychological ability to carry out the duties of the position.
