Food & Beverage Manager - Whistler

JOB SUMMARY

Position: Food & Beverage Manager
Company: Nita Lake Lodge
Job Location: Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 8-hour shift

Work Performed:

  • Communicate job expectations to F&B team members and ensure that all new team members have the training needed to be successful in their roles.
  • Facilitate daily huddles/meetings with the team at the beginning of their shift to ensure important operational information is relayed to everyone.
  • Discuss and document any performance issues with team members to keep them on track and held accountable for any unacceptable behavior.
  • Administers the F&B gratuity program for all outlets and distributes accordingly to employees.
  • Ensure that scheduling aligns with labor budgets and adjusts to business volumes.
  • Oversee food and beverage deliveries to ensure the product is safeguarded.
  • Updates, creates, and modifies menu items in the POS (Silverware) to ensure accuracy in sales.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Director with workforce planning, scheduling, ordering, and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior F&B leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to inspire those around you
  • Ability to have performance management conversations
  • Food safe, food handling, and sanitation understanding required
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to diffuse conflict situations with guests and/ or staff
  • Basic financial management skills needed to be able to adhere to labor budgets, forecast and schedule staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with MS Office applications and excellent understanding of POS systems
