JOB SUMMARY
Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Job Location: Fairmont

Work Performed:

  • Assist in leading, mentoring and training the Food & Beverage Operations team
  • Supervise and delegate duties; Ensure brand standards are maintained
  • Liaise with kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal
  • Ensure the overall smooth operation of the outlet, managing labor effectively, working on cost saving techniques, opening and closing responsibilities
  • Motivation of colleagues to provide excellence in service, developing strong channels of communication and fostering a team spirit
  • Assist in the ongoing upgrading of colleague skills, recognition and their development
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the Health & Safety program
  • To ensure that established hotel and departmental policies are consistently adhered to
  • To quickly asess problems and situations an take the necessary corrective action in a timely manner
  • To attend and actively participate in all department meetings
  • To have working knowledege of all local Health an liquor licensing laws
  • To ensure proper maintennace, cleanliness and upkeep of all areas, point of sale materials and operating equipment
  • To develop and maintain effective communication with the other ARC leaders, and operating departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
  • Minimum 3 year's experience in a like-caliber restaurant
  • Thorough wine and beverage knowledge
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
