WORK PERFORMED
- Assist with the planning and execution of all Playland food and candy outlets, catered events, and other functions, ensuring that all guest requirements and needs are met.
- Assist with the execution of corporate picnics; oversee the set-up and tear down of the event area and supervise and assist in various capacities during these events.
- Assist in scheduling and staffing Playland F&B staff; help recruit, orient and train new employees on an as needed basis.
- Assist with inventory administration, including but not limited to planning, forecasting, ordering, receiving, and inventorying a large variety of food and beverage products.
- Help Food & Beverage staff in resolving food and beverage related problems during event and Playland operating days.
- Follow up on any guest issues or concerns and ensure that issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Enforce both corporate and internal Food & Beverage departmental policies and procedures; ensure all staff perform work in a safe, clean, and professional manner and in compliance with corporate policies.
- Ensure adherence to established transaction procedures, identify shortages, and take corrective action on any issues that arise.
- Assist in ensuring that all operating equipment and supplies are properly cared for, stored, and secured.
- Perform other related F&B duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have either graduated or currently be enrolled in a post-Secondary program in Hospitality, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline; or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within the Food & Beverage Industry, preferably at a reputable, high-volume venue.
- Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving it Right.
- Must have advanced knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry and food outlet operations, and a strong understanding of legislation, regulations and standards on hygiene and liquor licensing.
- Must possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills in order to establish effective working relationships with staff, guests and clients.
- Must have excellent leadership and people management skills to effectively motivate team members and address performance concerns with staff.
- Must have superior time management and multitasking skills, with the proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage various deadlines.
- Must have a proven track record of implementing and maintaining superior service standards.
- Must have strong administrative capabilities including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications (word, excel, PowerPoint), POS systems and electronic and hard copy file management.
- Ability to interact positively with public and present a pleasant customer friendly image.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and remain calm under pressure while effectively managing various guest situations.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends during peak periods is required.
