Position: Food Service Supervisor

WORK PERFORMED

• Provision of frontline staff direction & supervision within operations
• Completion of human resources activities (including but not limited to the recruitment process, training, investigations, and performance management)
• Participation in the development and implementation of menus and standards set by NFS
• Manage food, supply & labour expenses to achieve financial targets
• Promotes quality improvement and staff engagement in operational problem solving
• Promotes safety ensuring safe work practice & condition, site compliance to guidelines, standards and regulatory directive.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years in a Food Service management role ideally within an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. 
• Education: Required post-secondary degree, diploma or certification in Nutrition and Food Service Management. Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
• Considerable leadership experience in a health care environment is desirable.
•  Education must be accompanied by demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills and the ability to handle multiple demands concurrently. 
• Must be proficient with personal computers and software in a Windows 10 environment. Microsoft Office applications, (E-mail/Word/Excel). 
• Must be an effective communicator, have excellent problems solving skills and possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
