JOB SUMMARY

Position: Support Services Supervisor
Company: Windermere Care Centre
Job Location: Vancouver, BC
Job type: Full- time, Part-time, Permanent

WORK PERFORMED

  • Report directly to Director Support Services.
  • Must have a strong understanding of English, both spoken and written.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Assisting the daily operations of Food Service, Housekeeping and Laundry Services.
  • Ability to supervise, evaluate and coordinate in all department.
  • Develops and follows appropriate policies, procedures, job routines to meet the need of the site.
  • Ensure that proper staff coverage for the department has been arranged
  • Ability to cover a shift on an occasion of staff shortages, and to assist staff when the need arise.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and maintain good interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and multiple demands.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Understand Resident dietary restrictions and immediately correct any issues.
  • Conducts daily, weekly and monthly audits to all departments.
  • Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and order same.
  • Perform duties according to health & safety work practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare or hotel environment.
  • Membership of CSNM / CNM or eligible to join.
  • Knowledge of HACCP & IDDSI
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
