WORK PERFORMED
- Coaching and mentoring new team members
- Communicate with the Support Services Manager over daily operations
- Handling of the Breakfast Bar and Inventory Items
- Take and serve orders including guest booking and wine orders
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Maintain Westcana standards with the team
- Offer genuine sense of hospitality at each point of guest contact
- Provide a warm, fun and approachable first impression to all of our residents and guests by maintaining a strong knowledge of menus, menu ingredients and guest preferences
- Offer a genuine greeting, determine number in party and seat guests onto the most appropriate table based on the seating table set up
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings to organize seating for meal periods
- Manage meal seating in a timely manner.
- Daily food portioning.
- Consistently offer a professional, friendly, and engaging service adhered to WestCana Dining Standards
- Follow standards of conduct, safety, sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Previous Experience in restaurant or hospitality industry an asset
- Food Safe Certificate Level 1 is a must
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have a working knowledge of special diets.
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Must be able to operate related equipment.
- Scheduling and Staffing Skills an Asset
- Serve it Right Certificate
- Security and Loss Prevention Management
- Strong knowledge of Office and Excel
- Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
