Work Performed:
- The Project Coordinator, Food Services is responsible for providing coordination support to the Project Manager, Regional Diet Office, and Food Service Leadership in the development and implementation of the new tray line assembly system at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC).
- The Project Coordinator works collaboratively with site stakeholders to implement a choice model and improve workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and experience in a similar role in an organization or industry of moderate complexity, including management of staff in a large facility.
- A member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada or,
- Successful graduation from a two (2) year Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) accredited college program in food service and nutrition management.
- Three (3) to five (5) years recent, related experience in an acute care or long-term care facility including management of staff, or
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a management/supervisory position in the retail food services sector.
- Training and understanding of quality improvement methodologies including LEAN.
- Recent related experience in quality/process improvement and education.
- Recent related education and experience in managing medium to large scale projects.
- Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
