WORK PERFORMED
- The Assistant Supervisor/Head Chef's responsibility is to provide leadership and direction in the operation of a high quality food services program that meets the needs of students living on campus through the Dining Hall.
- They will be working with a complement of 20 staff members to provide a full range of daily meals, meeting special diet requirements, training and developing staff skills and offering a high level of customer service.
- Must be able to embrace culinary diversity and be open to adaptation.
- Ensuring customers receive high quality, nutritious meals
- Day to day operations of food services department
- Scheduling staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Red Seal Journeyman Cook
- Food Safety Certificate
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
- Ability to adapt cooking for varying size groups
- Effective Communication and coaching skills
