Salary: From $29–$33 an hour

WORK PERFORMED

• The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Kitchen program through effectively planning, coordinating, scheduling, supervising, and directing the Kitchen program employees. 
• She will ensure that food services meet the funding contract requirements as well as the philosophy, mission and mandate of the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre. 
• The Kitchen Supervisor, under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, is responsible for a range of human resources matters including acting in the absence of the Program Manager handling emergent and routine issues. 
• She will work collaboratively with DEWC staff, and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a minimum of 2 years related experience in a supervisory position, preferable within a unionized environment
• You will promote and articulate the mission, mandate, philosophy, and values of DEWC
• You are knowledgeable of the issues impacting women in the dtes, including gender-based violence, mental health, homelessness, and addictions with an understanding of trauma-informed care responses
• You have the ability to both work and support staff, within a busy, chaotic, crises driven environment where there are multiple demands and prioritize
• You have efficient organizational and administrative skills including record keeping, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities
• You have or will obtain a First Aid Certification, Food Safe, and NVCI
