Position: Dining Room Supervisor

Work Performed:

• Provide warm, engaging welcome to residents, taking pride in knowing their seating, dining and dietary preferences
• Conduct daily pre-shift briefings prior to service with team members
• Ensure team members are on time, immaculately groomed and ready for service
• Ensure the dining room is clean, well set, and ready for service
• Supervise the dining room team to ensure uniform service standards, excellent flow
• Liaise with the Culinary team to monitor food quality and timelines of service
• Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, resolve resident complaints and concerns to the highest standard
• Review daily menu and other applicable announcements
• Assists with training new hires in service standards
• Supervises opening or closing procedures for the dining room
• Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Takes immediate action to correct any issues
• Provide constructive feedback from residents during menu planning and design to culinary team
• Ensure side duties are completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked
• Anticipate resident needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
• Review reservations and prepare accordingly
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Serving it Right Certificate
• Previous experience leading a dining room/restaurant team
• Previous lead server experience
• Food Handling Certificate (Amica will provide)
