WORK PERFORMED
- Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Dietitian and Director of Care, the Food Services Manager/Chef is responsible for all aspects related to the management and operations of the Food Services Department ensuring the highest standards of quality service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A diploma or certification from a recognized Food Service Management Program from an accredited post-secondary institute or a combination of education and experience in a position as a Food Service Supervisor specific to health care or Certification/Diploma from a recognized chef’s training program; membership (or eligible for) in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management, or is a Registered Dietitian;
- Three to five years of ,management experience in a health care setting is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of food services and delivery programs;
- Experience managing a team through motivation, coaching and development;
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently;
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 and 2;
- Red Seal Chef preferred.
