Position: Food and Beverage Director

Work Performed:

  • Reports to Director of Operations
  • Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
  • Works with Executive Chefs and F&B Managers to develop and implement short and long term strategy.
  • Drives exceptional guest and employee experience.
  • Create a culture of empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Purchasing and procurement of high quality ingredients between both resorts.
  • Creates inspirational seasonal menus that drives revenue and attract new guests.
  • Oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure that all operations meet or exceed organizational goals, and competitive benchmark standards;
  • Participate in the budgeting process - develop, implement and manage the budget, forecast, inventory and operating cost for the various outlets to maximize revenue and manage expenses.
  • Creatively develop and implement promotions for all F&B outlets, including cross promotional opportunities with weddings and events.
  • Maintain strict health and safety, food safety, WHMIS, loss and prevention and other legislative programs that surround F&B operations.
  • Work with team members at all levels, assist in the management of existing projects at various stages of development.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in elevated hospitality and travel industries experiences. Minimum 5 years in executive leadership position.
  • A clear and solid understanding of the issues faced by the organization and the food services industry.
  • Proven high end food and beverage leadership experience
  • Wine knowledge and fine dining management experience
  • Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Proven creativity and inspiring food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Experience with best in class operating systems, training, staff development and the operational management of large and complex operations
  • Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with operating teams, line supervisors, seasonal staff from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Experience with financial management and creating strong employee and guest satisfaction
  • Ideal candidate would have strong experience across a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events and functions
  • Ability to multitask and think quickly under pressure.
  • Strong business acumen.
