WORK PERFORMED
- A food service manager is responsible for the operations and daily activities of a kitchen located in a long term care facility.
- They are responsible for every single meal for the residents.
- A few of the main duties of a food service manager are greeting residents at the entrance, ordering food supplies, dealing with resident issues and complaints, and hiring and training new employees.
- They also have to create reports that update owners on how the kitchen is performing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the restaurant industry
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- High attention to detail and organizational skills to run kitchen service efficiently
