JOB SUMMARY
Position: Food and Beverage Manager

Job Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.

WORK PERFORMED
- Manage food and beverage and catering/banquet operations at the Casino, including the Stagecoach Grill, Buffalo Bar & Showroom, and the Casino floor and event spaces
- Mentor, develop, and provide on-the-job training to the Food & Beverage team
- Review financial transactions and monitor budgets and costs
- Implement and uphold service standards for the department and operations
- Investigate and resolve quality and service complaints in a timely fashion
- Facilitate regular supervisory meetings, training activities, staff meetings, and any other HR-driven initiatives as required
- Follow industry trends and provide suggestions for implementation
- Participate in the recruitment, interview, and selection process
- Complete daily and monthly inventory duties to ensure budget constraints are followed
- Complete all Front of House liquor, beer, and wine orders as needed
- Complete weekly schedules, and review and approve payroll daily
- Maintain involvement in the performance management process while following process disciplinary steps to ensure accuracy and fairness
- Manage employees according to the PURE Values and Service Standards
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as set forth by Alberta Health standards
- Ensure all operational areas are clean and well maintained
- Project professionalism in all team and customer relations
- Follow all Alberta Labour Standards, AGLC rules and regulations, and any other regulatory requirements of the job
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of progressive food & beverage managerial or supervisory experience - a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience managing all aspects of food & beverage operations including scheduling, service standard training, recruitment, purchasing, inventory management, cost control, POS systems, and asset protection
- Proficient in the English language including both written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage and report on the financial performance of the department
- Ability to work variable shifts, days, and scheduled hours
- Post Secondary in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is considered an asset
- A security background check is required
