WORK PERFORMED
- Work within a self-directed work team and provides a broad spectrum of nutrition services to a multi-cultural population within the Renal Program.
- Apply extensive knowledge, skill and clinical experience to assess, plan, evaluate and implement nutritional goals and care plans.
- Utilize advanced clinical techniques such as urea kinetic modelling as well as knowledge of chronic renal failure treatment modalities to enhance assessment and care plans.
- Participate in the development of clinical dietetic practice guidelines and procedures for the hospital and provincial renal programs.
- Initiate practice-based research projects in collaboration with the health care team.
- Current full registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) and registered with Restricted Activities A and B.
- Two (2) years’ recent, related clinical experience in a general medical/acute care setting with renal experience preferred plus Board certification in renal nutrition by the American Dietetic Association or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
