WORK PERFORMED
- Supervise over sixteen (16) Housekeeping Aides and Lead Hands, and be responsible for organizing staff, resources, and daily activities to meet established housekeeping standards.
- Order, monitor and receive Environmental Services supplies, maintain related reports, monitor expenditures and prepare budget estimates, and act as a liaison with other departments.
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties such as but not limited to:
- damp dusting;
- dry and wet mopping of floors;
- floor maintenance and refinishing using appropriate equipment;
- cleaning & disinfecting ceiling, wall, vent, washroom, bed, furniture and equipment;
- regular and biomedical waste collection and removal;
- spill clean-up;
- bed-making;
- and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility according to organizational policies, procedures and routines.
- Grade 10, plus three (3) years’ recent, related experience, including six (6) months' supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s License as local area travel may be required.
