JOB SUMMARY

Position: Director of Catering Events

WORK PERFORMED
  • Develop and manage Food and Beverage operations for Premium Clubs spaces, Ice Plaza, Fan Park & internal and external Catering
  • Hold team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
  • Ensure team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
  • Ensure show quality standards are always maintained
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and guests, regularly obtaining feedback to improve operations
  • Support and communicate company initiatives
  • Ensure the execution of all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Director of Operations in accordance with Compass standards
  • Ensure that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved
  • Achieve daily sales and assigned cost and budget goals
  • Provide operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
  • Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
  • Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies
  • Forecast and adequately schedule team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
  • Interview, hire, train and develop team members according to Compass guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience leading high volume food and beverage operations, catering and/or events
  • Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests, and associates by speaking and comprehending English
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership skills, coaching and supervisory abilities
  • Positive, energetic personality
  • English reading, writing, math, and computer skills required
  • Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
  • Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift given the nature of work environment
  • Must be comfortable working inside and outside in the elements as business dictates
  • Previous experience leading high volume food and beverage operations, catering and/or events
