WORK PERFORMED
- Coach, lead, and mentor a team of Regional Kitchen Managers and Kitchen Managers
- Ensure proper training of back of house team members, working alongside our Training Team
- Supporting the Executive Chef on menu development, R&D, and ad hoc requests
- Fostering positive relationships between front of house and back of house leadership
- May create training and execute training follow-up on-site with proper execution of training and BoH process standards
- Work with vendors and source new vendors for competitive rebate programs for products, while maintaining accurate order guides for the stores
- May support the Executive Chef on culinary strategy
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Hire new employees and management back of house development and succession planning
- Delegate tasks and follow through on their completion
- Implement new strategies, process, and systems and ensure compliance and usage across dozens of locations nationwide
QUALIFICATIONS
- An infectious personality, who others truly enjoy working with
- Inspires success in others, and has a proven track record of developing leadership
- Previous multi-unit kitchen management or chef experience
- Knowledge of interprovincial health and safety regulations
- Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management
- Administrative skills, including scheduling, emailing, basic Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite software, and ordering and inventory management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to hire new employees and conduct interviews
- Ability to remain level-headed and calm under pressure
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Foodsafe Certification preferred
- Red Seal an asset
