Job salary: $26.51 an hour
WORK PERFORMED:
- Prepare set menu items while maintaining high food quality standards, including preparing therapeutic modifications for residents
- Ensuring timely meal service delivery for each dining area
- Maintaining proper food rotation, practice established sanitation and cleanliness procedures
- Promoting positive communication and working relationships with your team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- FOODSAFE 1 certification is required, FOODSAFE 2 is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Previous culinary experience in healthcare environment, or working with seniors is an asset
- Ability to organize the kitchen workload and complete tasks within the allocated timeframes
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing
- Must successfully pass the prescribed criminal records check for the vulnerable sector and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
