JOB SUMMARY
Position: Event Sales & Services Manager
Company: Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport
Job Location: Richmond, BC
Job salary: $57,000 - $62,000 per year
WORK PERFORMED
- Proactively solicit new business and manage relationships with existing clients, to meet/exceed revenue goals and expand the client base including but not limited to telephone solicitation, outside sales calls and entertainment
- Create excellent client relationships through attention to details and personalized approaches
- Provide direct guest contact as a Hotel liaison with a thorough knowledge of all Hotel facilities and services
- Servicing of large social events
- Apt in social media activities (Instagram, Facebook)
- Promptly handle phone enquiries in an effort to provide immediate attention to guest needs
- Willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the guest needs. Evenings and weekends work are a must.
- Have a strong presence in the local market
- Oversee outside catering functions
- Work with integrity while bringing excitement to our environment
- Collaborate with your team to provide an experience that supports the hotel’s overall goals
- Observe and follow the established Emergency, Fire and Health & Safety policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have 2-3 years’ experience as a high- end event planner with a strong focus on Social and Wedding Markets
- You thrive on collaboration and creative thinking
- You have strong computer skills (Delphi, Microsoft Office)
- You are known for your excellent communication and guest service skills
- You speak clearly with good command of the English language (written and verbal)`
- You are a true people person who believes in building strong relationships
- You have a sound knowledge of Food & Beverage
- You enjoy working in a respectful, positive, team-oriented environment
- You have the spirit of an entrepreneur and aren’t afraid to think on your feet
