WORK PERFORMED
- Manage and oversee the development and implementation of an organization wide food services program.
- Reviews service hours, food offerings and availability to ensure the SIB is meeting the food requirements of the customer, in consultation with all effected stakeholder groups.
- Ensures Food Safe regulations are met and liaises with health officials as required.
- Analyzes s data performing cost, price, volume, and sale comparisons.
- Ensures fiscal responsibility in Food Services through the management and utilization of inventory procurement and management, ensuring control measures to provide information for pricing and costing decisions.
- Strong business acumen/entrepreneurial skills with a demonstrated ability and commitment to customer service.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, supervise and develop staff while fostering a positive working environment.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and vendors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and challenging schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team within a large, complex, dynamic organization·
- May be required to work at various college campus locations.
- Manages food services and goods and services contracts.
- Demonstrated professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information ethically and with discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) year Diploma in Hospitality, Food Services Management, Business Management, Commerce or Accounting from a recognized educational institution.
- Journeyman Red Seal certification in a related trade considered an asset.
- Serving it Right Certificate.
- FOODSAFE Level 2 Certificate.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a management role in Food Services operations.
- Experience working with First Nations community is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver’s License, Class 5.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
