WORK PERFORMED
- The Manager is accountable for the delivery of high quality, accessible, sustainable, patient and family-focused care for their assigned rural site, program area(s) and staff complement.
- The Manager has direct accountability for their assigned site, the clinical operations employees working within their identified program area(s), and the corresponding programmatic requirements of the role.
- In conjunction with the Director, the Manager is accountable for setting and executing strategic and operational priorities for the site.
- This includes developing and implementing site-based plans.
- Additionally, the Manager is accountable for, in conjunction with their director, setting and executing strategic and operational priorities related to their staff complement, and programmatic assignment(s).
- This includes ensuring the effective deployment of resources, supporting change management, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- The manager provides leadership through demonstrated consistency of practice, competence as a leader, as well as commitment to the team, and to the overall purpose and vision of the portfolio, and the organization.
- The Manager is accountable to AH for Accommodations standards, Continuing Care Health Services Standards, Accreditation and Public Health Standards.
- Minimum of five years’ nursing experience in Continuing Care and/or Acute Care.
- Minimum of two years’ management experience within a unionized environment. Knowledge and understanding of CCHSS, Accreditation, Accommodation Standards.
