WORK PERFORMED
- Reporting to the Executive Director, Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy the Patient Care Manager will demonstrate dynamic, innovative leadership and proven management skills.
 - A results-oriented, consultative management style along with strong clinical skills will facilitate the overall effective operation of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
 - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as flexibility and the ability to manage change effectively.
 - A key role will be the liaison between services and staff with the goal of promoting excellence in patient care.
 - This position will provide administrative and clinical leadership advancing the effectiveness of all team members.
 - As the manager the role will include but not be limited to active participation in regional programs such as abilities management, occupational health, safety, and wellness.
 - Financial stewardship around Operational Best Practices and delivering on a strategic approach to access, quality, and sustainability is a must.
 
- Under Graduate degree required. Master’s degree in a health related discipline an asset.
 - Current registration and membership in good standing with a professional college.
 - Extensive health care experience required including 3 to 5 years management experience in a complex tertiary healthcare organization with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
 - Key competencies include the ability to lead, manage, delegate and prioritize work effectively.
 - Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote collaboration, commitment to identifying and implementing necessary changes, and demonstrated creativity and innovation.
 - Knowledge of financial management is required.
 - Familiar with computer applications.
 - Must demonstrate understanding and experience with the delivery of family-centered care.
 - Effective change management skills.
 - A combination of experience and skills will be considered.
