WORK PERFORMED
- Managing staff recruitment, training, and performance for positive relations and compliance
- Providing leadership for a culturally safe and inclusive environment
- Managing efficient and reliable food service delivery for patients, staff, and the public
- Developing and executing an annual operating plan aligned with the organization's strategic direction
- Participating in collective bargaining, providing information, and impact analysis
- Conducting workplace investigations, addressing misconduct allegations and breaches of collective agreements
- Managing budgets, monitoring spending, and identifying cost-saving opportunities for Food Services
- Developing and monitoring departmental systems, policies, procedures, and processes for effective service delivery
- Planning, evaluating, monitoring, and implementing therapeutic menus and protocols, including traditional and local foods
- Advising YHC departments, facilities, and partner/client facilities on food and nutrition matters
- Ensuring compliance with Accreditation Canada, Food Safety regulations, and patient/workplace safety initiatives
- Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Commerce or a relevant discipline
- 3+ years of management experience in a hospital setting
- FoodSafe level 1 is a must
- Your knowledge of nutrition science and its application in healthcare goes beyond the surface
- Proficient in administrative practices, effortlessly managing nutrition services in a healthcare setting
- Independence is your strength, you can manage, plan, and organize dietary services in a primary healthcare hospital
- Problem-solving is not just a skill, it's your forte, especially within a healthcare team
- Your experience extends to diverse patient populations, showcasing your adaptability
- Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity are not just checkboxes, they are integral to your approach
- You're not just comfortable with computer software; you're eager to master specific medical records software like Computrition, Meditech, UKG, and others
