The Manager of
Support Services at Brocklehurst Gemstone has the luxury of having
additional Supervisory support onsite. A Marquise Sous Chef/Supervisor and a
Marquise Housekeeping Supervisor are available to assist them and their team
with delivering service excellence.
Duties &
Responsibilities include:

Manage the day to day
operations in the Food, Housekeeping & Laundry departments to ensure all
contractual service levels are met and maintained in all areas

Complete administrative
& financial reporting including scheduling, payroll, period summaries and
sales reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage Human Resources including hiring, training and discipline of staff
- Maintain appropriate budgetary, cost and inventory measures & controls
- Admin duties including ordering of adequate food and supplies
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of resident preferences and incorporate these preferences into service delivery
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Recreation department to develop and assist in the implementation of special events
- Facilitate ongoing communication with all stakeholders in the home including administration, nursing, residents and their families to address any operational concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Manage and maintain the established Health & Safety and Quality Assurance programs, including conducting regular audits as required
- Assist with menu management, food cost controls and production including monitoring and evaluating meals and service to ensure established standards are maintained for both quality and quantity of all meals and snacks

- Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) certification or equivalent
- Previous Management experience or equivalent supervisory role in a long term healthcare setting
- Excellent leadership and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid computer skills including proficiency with Outlook & Excel
