RiverBend Manor is a Seniors residence in Prince George. As part of the supported living component, the kitchen prepares three meals daily to be served in the dining room.
We require an enthusiastic leader, reporting to the General Manager, to manage all aspects of the kitchen and dining room services along with the hiring, training, orientation and supervision of cooks and dietary aides. The successful candidate would be responsible for food purchase, inventory maintenance, ensuring compliance with public health guidelines, menu planning and ongoing assessment to ensure a smooth running operation. Developing and maintaining a healthy rapport with residents will be critical, ensuring their customer satisfaction as evidenced through direct communication and feedback.
Applicants should have a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a related program and a minimum of two years supervisory experience, preferably in a food service environment.
Must have a valid Food Safe Certificate and current Criminal Record Check for working with the vulnerable population.
