Position: CBORD Specialist

Work Performed:
Reporting to the CBORD Manager, the CBORD Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of the CBORD food service information system including the planning, analysis, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the CBORD system. The Specialist develops and maintains appropriate databases and other associated services at all sites across Island Health. The CBORD Specialist reviews, recommends and creates plans for changes required to the system to meet the day-to-day business requirements and future business needs. Provides training to internal Island Health staff on the CBORD food service information system and assigns and maintains user groups, system documentation and education/training materials. Works in collaboration with Island Health's IM/IT department, Nutrition Services department and other internal and external partners, as required.
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to Certification in a recognized Food Services Management program or eligible for membership in Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers (CSNM) and five (5) years' experience as a system administrator for a food and nutrition information system, preferably CBORD, in a healthcare environment.
