WORK PERFORMED

  • Manage the overall operation of the Food and Nutrition Department
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Manage staffing functions in a unionized environment
  • Train and educate team
  • Plan, manage and maintain all budgetary requirements
  • Multisite operations and team collaboration
  • Maintain an effective operation of the Centralized Diet Office
  • Manage, implement, and maintain the Food Services Computer Systems
  • Menu management
  • Clinical Nutrition


    • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
    • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program or a recognized equivalent
    • Graduate of a Food and Nutrition Management program from a recognized college
    • Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
    • 2 years of Leadership experience, preferably in a Food and Nutrition Management, Acute Healthcare setting
    • Proficiency in Computrition, and Excel
    • Ability to implement and execute project plans
    • Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and the organizations’ health and safety plans, policies, and procedures.
    • Commitment to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe environment and delivery of Food Services to patients.
