WORK PERFORMED
- Hiring, training, supporting, and motivating staff with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- Updating or implementing policies that improve service, performance, safety, and costs
- Full coordination of events including the scheduling of staff, arranging for food, transportation of equipment/food, and set-up/take-down
- Developing strong, lasting, and trustworthy relationships with venues and vendors
- Forecasting goals, preparing budgets, and controlling costs of labour, equipment, and supplies
- Collaborating with sales team to develop and execute event layouts
- Handling client inquiries, requests, or concerns in a professional manner
- 5+ years of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry; ability to rally a diverse team, delegate tasks, and reach goals together
- Competent in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- ProServe Certification, Food Safe Training, First Aid, and WHMIS (or willing to get)
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly in a fast paced environment
- Can quickly adapt to changing circumstances or challenging situations using sound problem solving skills and remaining accountable to decisions
- Dedication to safety within the workplace
