WORK PERFORMED

  • Hiring, training, supporting, and motivating staff with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
  • Updating or implementing policies that improve service, performance, safety, and costs
  • Full coordination of events including the scheduling of staff, arranging for food, transportation of equipment/food, and set-up/take-down
  • Developing strong, lasting, and trustworthy relationships with venues and vendors
  • Forecasting goals, preparing budgets, and controlling costs of labour, equipment, and supplies
  • Collaborating with sales team to develop and execute event layouts
  • Handling client inquiries, requests, or concerns in a professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry; ability to rally a diverse team, delegate tasks, and reach goals together
  • Competent in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • ProServe Certification, Food Safe Training, First Aid, and WHMIS (or willing to get)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly in a fast paced environment
  • Can quickly adapt to changing circumstances or challenging situations using sound problem solving skills and remaining accountable to decisions
  • Dedication to safety within the workplace
