Position: Food Service Supervisor

WORK PERFORMED
- Taking steps to control the costs of the operation of the unit
- Planning and scheduling staff, ensuring adequate coverage to meet business needs
- Working with clients and customers to meet their needs/requests while staying within budgeted restrictions and adhering to all corporate practices and policies
- Training staff members in best practices while further developing their skills
- Supervise, coach, and provide feedback to staff based on job expectations and standards
- Oversee and respond to customer and employee concerns using tact and good judgement
- Ensure safe preparation of food and beverage ingredients with the ability to assist at various service stations when needed
- Ensure correct and efficient order completion while handling cash operations as necessary, making sure all money is accounted for and properly tracked
- Adherence to policies and standards as outlined in the Dana Hospitality Employee Handbook as well as workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 to 3+ years of recent related experience in the food service industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certified with thorough knowledge of all health and safety regulations pertaining to the food preparation/service industry (an asset)
- Previous experience in the food service industry in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English and French
- Able to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
