Position: Food Services Manager

WORK PERFORMED
- Oversees menu planning and costing, orders food and supplies and maintains accurate inventory of food and supplies.
- Hires staff in consultation with VP of Finance and Operations.
- Trains, supervises and schedules staff and student Gratis Workers.
- Cooks appetizing, nutritious food, well presented.
- Caters events for PLBC, Bible Fellowship, Regent Christian Academy and conference groups as requested.
- Supervises point of sale procedures as required.
- Ensures necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining room in accordance with applicable legislation.
- Co-operates fully with statutory inspections and implements recommendations as appropriate.
- Other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a Chef training or Culinary Management diploma from a vocational or trade school or community college or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience cooking (and preferably managing food services) in an institutional setting
- Criminal records check
- Previous budgetary experience preferred
