Position: Food and Beverage Supervisor

Job salary: From $20.97 an hour

WORK PERFORMED
  • Takes orders and serves meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner as per outlined standards.
  • Enhances resident and guest meal time experiences by exceeding customer service expectations.
  • Assist in the set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc
  • Set and clear dining areas and deliver tray service as required.
  • Assist with function catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events.
  • Oversees the activities of the servers and other dining room personnel.
  • Takes a lead role in organization and execution of site functions and private dining events.
  • Maintains a good working environment.
  • Trains dining staff to exceed standards.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Plans and directs activities related to the preparation and service of meals.
  • Ensures the quality of the food meets/exceeds standards.
  • Assists Director of Hospitality and Dining Services Manager with scheduling, payroll, H&S compliance and other administrative duties.
  • Follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe work procedures.
  • Comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures.
  • Other reasonable duties outlined by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a server.
  • Current Basic Foodsafe Certificate
  • Current First Aid – level 1 for industry
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • The ability to make decisions and be held accountable.
  • Interpersonal skills, teamwork, collaboration, leadership, adaptability, dependability and excellent communication skill are required.
  • Excellent personal grooming, confidence, integrity, ability to manage stress, dynamism, energy, autonomy, initiative, availability, flexibility and orientation toward quality are required.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and readily acceptable to change work priorities at any time.
