WORK PERFORMED

  • Hiring and recruiting the right staff, scheduling the staff and managing the labour efficiently
  • Ensuring a fast pace in the restaurant,
  • Updating Banquet and Restaurant Menus pricing regularly
  • Coming up with New food and drink items
  • Ensuring restaurant energy, lighting, vibe, TVs, and music are all set correctly and all Catering is set at the highest standards at all times
  • Training staff to provide fast, professional service – managers, kitchen and servers
  • Marketing and promotions to fill the restaurant up, and maximize covers by updating the seating and reservations system
  • Purchasing including ordering, receiving and inventory
  • Watching what competitors are doing and survey the market
  • Ensuring proper opening and closing both of the Banquet and Restaurant daily
  • Working all major events and holidays
  • Other duties as required
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Hotel Management position
  • A Bachelor degree in hospitality is a strong asset
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management and staff professionally
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Food and Beverage
  • Outstanding attention to detail – properly identifying guests’ needs, demeanour, and level of required service attention
  • Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Skilled in problem analysis, problem-solving and decision making
  • Utilization of Micros system (POS) is an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Serving it Right and Food Save are required
