Job salary range: $60,000 - $63,000 a year

WORK PERFORMED

• Manage all Food & Beverage day to day operations within budgeted guidelines (dining rooms, private dining rooms, tea bar, lounges, patios, chefs table, communal table)
• Supervises Opal’s service team and assists with menu planning, planning and execution of events, assists servers and personally hosts on the floor during peak meal periods
• Drive sales to maximize budgeted revenue for Opal’s private dining rooms, banquets, a la carte menu items, Chef’s table and English high tea operation
• Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service. Assists other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships with all
• Lead and strengthen the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented staff. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then develops and implements training plans
• Manages and controls beverage inventory (monthly), proactively promotes Opal’s wine by the glass program. Designs beverage menus with recipes
• Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures for department
• Develop and implement safety and sanitation policies in all Food and Beverage outlets and maintain policies and procedures that adhere to Food Safe and Serve It Right standards
• Handle resident, guest and staff concerns in a quick, respectful and professional manner
• Monitor opening – closing duties and cash outs

QUALIFICATIONS

• University or College degree/diploma in a related discipline field (Hospitality or Business Preferred)
• Food Safe Level 2 Certificate
• Serve It Right Certification
• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial food & beverage operations
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in an upscale restaurant, hospitality field or retirement community
