WORK PERFORMED
- Reporting to the Managing Director, the Food Services Manager is responsible for overall operations of the Food Services Department, which includes daily cooking for residents as well as banquet room bookings.
- The Food Services Manager effectively leads and coordinates the food services department, develops, and adheres to approved menus, approved policies and procedures while managing a high standard of quality and customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Food services management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality business administration or related major or diplomas an asset.
- Red Seal Chef designation an asset.
- 5 years management/supervisory experience preferably in a food and beverage, culinary or related professional area.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communications skills (English) – both oral and written is required. Must be functionally computer literate.
- Must be in good health, physically fit, able to walk, stand for long periods of time and lift.
- Must have a flexible, willing, and positive attitude.
