WORK PERFORMED
- Management and supervision of a team of 252 FTE and 471 staff (both leadership and unionized positions).
- Responsible for coaching, development, performance management, and goal setting to ensure that services are delivered in a consistent and effective manner.
- Act as the key liaison for inquiries from various departments within the site ensuring that internal customer needs are understood and are being met.
- Management and delegation of various site personnel and resources in support of Provincial, Zone & Area initiatives.
- Accountable for making key decisions related to Environmental Services priorities and operating budget.
- This requires a strong ability to manage budgets, staff resources and ensure that optimum staffing levels are appropriate based on service level requirements.
- Develops and maintains quality working relationships with staff, area stakeholders and peers through various communication methods.
- This involves a proactive approach to understanding key stakeholder requirements.
- Implementation of site strategic plans and productivity enhancements utilizing lean transformational tools and concepts Participate in conjunction with the Director on operational planning, leadership development and service delivery areas under Environmental Services Operations.
- Completion of post-secondary education is required, preferably in the areas of Business Commerce or Operations Management. 5+ years of management/leadership experience is required combined with a background in operations from an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership involving coaching and staff development.
